Rally Chat Soul Meet

be careful how you pronounce the question ...... much better to pronounce the a as an A ......

Why? Can you explain, if not too rude?
Birmingham accent, presumably. In Birmingham year is pronounced as 'yeur' (as in leur). :giggle:

I think they are being rude Frankie. If you say A (as in hay without the h) it sounds a bit like a rude word. I THINK that's what they mean but not sure. . as Soul music isn't for hay souls.

correct, but once again my humour has backfired (no pun intended) i was trying to be humorous, but once again i fall on my sword ....

LOL ! Fortunatly you never heard me when I speak my way.... And I can be really really rude! LOL , so nothing can hurt my feelings... Actually I think YOU would be shocked. I'm still a youngster when I speak , it's terrible , I can't act like a grown up when it comes to express myself, anger especially!! And I like humor, as long as it is not against someone in particular. I like to laugh with people not about them.
I wanted to understand so thanks all I now know what pronunciation can do with words! :hi5::laughing:

In answer to your question John Chocy boy, after careful consideration, we've decided not to run the Soul rally at the end of May 2021.

To make this event viable and affordable, a minimum of 50 vans are needed. This means that up to 100+ people could be in the hall at any one time. These numbers, and the nature of the event, are not conducive to practicing social distancing.

Therefore, we've concluded that we didn't want to take the responsibility of exposing others to any risk.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for one in the future. We really enjoyed the one we went to. Our first Funster rally too

Roll on 2022!!
A great shame, but sensible decision.
Stay safe all!
