Hello, I SORNed my motorhome at the begining of the month (3 weeks ago) and am still waiting for the refund cheque, any one else waiting still

Still waiting for my weight upgrade 10 months and counting! Now sent three times to DVLA and still not actioned!

You would have thought that refunds should be via the Direct Debit we set up for payment

Not SORNed ours , so can’t help any further on timescale

Sorned mine 29th December.. Chq is already cleared in my bank.

Did mine but it was DD.
Payment got took on 1st but refund back in bank on 10th. 👍
Maybe cheques taking longer plus postal delays.

Got my refund cheque after about 2 or 3 weeks... If that's any help!

Sorned on 31st...... cheque received ( delayed because of B. Holiday) 7th Jan......... normally Paid within a couple of days, however, have taken a number plate of a car and potentially have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for a new log book.

Did you sorn at the beginning of January or the end of December?
Did you pay monthly or yearly?
DD every 6 months. sorn begining Jan. Last time I did it cheque came 3 days later

Not trying to be clever, but, I sorted my M/ Home Oct 31st, but used a scam company, consequently as the 31st was a Saturday, the Sh..bags scamming, as well as having to pay a fee, didn't sort until the Monday, therefore my M/ Home was not taxed, but, as it was done on the Monday ( 2nd Nov). I lost that months money as well as being untaxed........... Please be careful that you do use the Government site........ In summary.... you must SORN on the last day of the month and not the first of the month............ Never was very good at Compositions, so, do hope this makes sense. ;)

SORN'd mh and 2 motorbikes. Cheques arrived a week later.

You missed the cut-off point so you will have to pay January's tax. Maybe the check will come next month instead?
Yes I realisedI had lost a month, bad timing on my part so you maybe right
