Well according to the weather forecast its going to snow for the next few days in the Somport area

We're on the tunnel on Sunday night, so will arrive here Wednesday (ish), do we say sod it and go Perpignan?

I can't really be bothered packing the chains etc. as it would mean leaving the guitar at home

For detailed forecasts look at Urdos on www.meteofrance.com. Urdos is the last town up the valley before the tunnel, forecast for next week looks ok, though for midweek look again on Monday...We also check Jaca on www.eltiempo.es for the Spanish side...

We were hoping to use the Somporte tunnel on Thursday but looking at the weather for heavy snow we aborted and came round by Pamplona,with no problems.

Came through on wednesday all clear snow on upper peaks but none at tunnel level
