first time I have had to use the levelling ramps under front and rear passenger side. When we walk about in the van there is a creaking noise coming from under the floor. When I removed the ramps the noise was gone.Any ideas please?I am now parked with a slope which is making things a bit difficult but better than hearing a creaking noise every time we move.

It could be trying to roll down the ramps causing minute slip between brake disc pads and discs, mine does it too.

It could be a ramp is cracked. They can fail spectacularly. :) It would be worth examining them closely and trying twisting them by hand. Otherwise, as suggested, it could be the handbrake. If it's a Ducato they are famous for being barely up to the job.

Did you find a way to stop it or are we lumbered with it?

Depending on the angle I often get a creaking noise and so have others I've spoken to. If you just drop it down a tad then it should go but, given that it happens to a few vans it's probably nothing to worry about.

one spring compressed more than normal and doesn't like it whilst settling down. OR it might be the chassis twisting a bit and the rivetted joints creaking a bit before they SNAP INTO LITTLE BITS. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As above, our Peugeot creaked from the rear when it was on ramps at the back. WD40 is your best friend here....

Leaf spring or torsion suspension , id be wary where I sprayed wd40, certainly nowhere near the discs which is the source of the noise from mine.

Long time
Our leaf springs creak and 'bang' occasionally so hubby forced grease in between the leaves that shut then up!
Once when going down a rough road the noise was enough to make us think something was falling off, that was the first time we had ever heard it!

Leaf, I gave them a good spraying at the ends, but this was only after the van was a couple of years old and dust and grit had accumulated. A good jetwashing sorted it permanently.
Obviously, don't spray any lubricant near the brakes

Mines an Alco chassis so no leaf springs . These mhomes are built on light commercial van chassis , probably can't expect a lack of squeaks and rattles.
