Lovely walk along part of the southern upland way this morning, unfortunately for Lorraine no sign of Gerard Butler.

If you look closely you'll see our van parked on right hand side over the bay.

Who needs Gerard Butler when you've got this hunk on your arm.

Beautiful pics brings back memories of trips to Portpatrick when we had the RIB across the water from Peel.

Brings back memories of my dad who retired up to sw Scotland in the 70's ....we spent many a happy day at Portpatrick and meals in the Crown on the harbour.

Their going to be filming at Port Logan harbour, I'm sure the local said it was on the 11th and 12th as he had to remove all modern boats as the film is based 1939.

We had a meal in the Crown on Saturday night, went in at 7pm for a quick bite then back to van. We didn't leave until 11.50

If im correct thats Mull of Galloway in the distance

We are standing at Castle Bay campsite which is 1/2 mile from town, didnt stay there but looked nice.
