Truman water heater on for 10 minutes...just spotted what I thought was smoke coming past kitchen window. Turned heater off and it appears to have stopped. Is this normal? Steam? Thought I was doing quite well on my own!

The external cover is off and it was coming out of the vent ..but I have never seen it before . Am I being a complete novice!?Is there an external cover which needs to be removed? (Mine has)
Ok..doing it nowThen put the heater back on and watch the exhaust vent. Clear white/grey smoke is the burnt gas exhausting.
Yes. ( not the numpty bit)Would it be because it was the first time of switching on today? What a numpty!!
Thank you! My well educated brain was telling me this but the mum on her own in an expensive box on wheels had a moment ..."yes dear we are having a lovely time...the motorhome? Oh well....it was like this...."Usually get quite a bit of steam out and more visible on a cold day. Nothing to worry about.
Silly thing is...over the years I have had caravans, day van and a previous motorhome but this Arto was a whole new level for us!Everyone is a complete novice when they start, some, (like me,) never really get any better!
Do you not have seats to sit on in that motorhomeOf course my 11 year old who was sat on his phone drinking tea didn't flinch when I went "omg! Smoke!"
Not OTT in the slightest, I had to evacuate a burning, smoke filled hospital ward many years ago, crawling on my belly to open big heavy doors, banged one with my head on turning around to leave the area and it snapped shut, it could only be opened with a key, which I had, but, lying on your belly in a smoke filled room, trying to open a door with a key whilst unable to breathe or see, to this day, is one of the most frightening things I have EVER experienced. Planes, pubs, cinemas, concert arenas etc and especially hotels, I don’t even think about it, it’s subconscious, the first thing is always….How do I get out of here if there’s a fire or the sh*t hits the fan. Makes perfect sense to me.Maybe this is the time to ensure your 11 year old is fully briefed on how to get out fast, not to scare them but same as any fire drill they are taught in school, don't try to fight it , get out and shout FIRE!!!
All the kids in the family have always been taught fire drills for all houses and vans even to the stage of when 2 were sleeping in overhead cab how to open window and get out
Kids are always made aware of which are the fire exit windows .some may think it's OTT but my mother was terrified of fire. She taught us, I tought mine, mine taught hers....
