Imminent buyer!
I nearly jumped in on a moho but have decided to take more time in perusing. I have been a lifetime tent camper and also lived in a couple of very basic vans in years gone by.
I really would like to see a collection of different types at a used dealer's lot although I am on a tight budget and would more than likely buy private when I take the plunge.

I don't really want to look at an assortment of private sales yet and become a 'tyre kicker', so thought initially if I could look around a used dealers lot, I could get a better idea of what I want and don't want or need.

Is there anywhere suitable that people know of within reasonable distance of Nuneaton? Gleaming new Moho's are out of my price range though.

Thanks for any thoughts and to add, a longish drive in the Midlands to view would be a possibility if required.

theres very few dealers in the price range your looking at anything under 20k goes into the auctions
Is that the Measham auctions? Been there a few times over the years looking at cars.

I suppose that would be worth checking over?

edit; Looks like the next Moho auction is in March 2022

Thanks

I wish you good fortune in you future travels.
Decide what kind of vehicle you want. A single person should have plenty of space in a panel van conversion (PVC) and be able to take you further afield in reasonable comfort but 'small' may not be what you're after.. Maybe other soloists on here can describe what they've found pf value in their choices.

Maybe use a large dealer to get an idea of the layout you fancy, then go and look at some private sales?

Hello I have read in another of your posts that you are looking to live in it full time so probably motorhome something like a older Hymer 544 or 584 that would be by around year 2000 or before but if well maintained a excellent vehicle and and just under 6 m with a very good layout we have had our 584 for 17 years now and very very little problems with it. The best way is to go to a dealer sit in them imagine you there on a wet day day-night make sure you're comfortable make sure you've got the storage that you need and the payload is sufficient for you and definitely check that there is no damp in it taking a little time is a good idea any questions there's always somebody on here that will have some knowledge of the van that you are thinking about so always ask. Good luck in your search.

Hi, you could try, Elite Motorhomes, Banbury, we looked over there stock back in 2018 before we bought one, it was good to look over different styles and layouts before taking the plunge, good luck and hope you find what you're looking for

Yes I am looking for more or less permanent. That's why I was looking for a four berth with over the cabin sleeping, the thought being that the rest of the van would be for living/cooking/washing accommodation without the need to rearrange and make up beds every night.

Which is what you get with the older Hymern544 and 584, the Double drop down bed gives you so much more living space but your bed is permanently made., Lots of storage as well and come in at just a tad under 3.5 Tons. They also have a good shower room .

Great will look at the older Hymers, thanks Carol.
I looked round the Arley for sale camper vans and it was great. No hassle from the staff all very hands off and friendly.
I now know a 2 berth rather than a 4 berth will be enough with the bed above the cab.

So I will be looking at them for the primary search.
