We went hitch our Fifth Wheel up on Thursday but batteries were completely flat this has never happened before but the batteries are nearly 4 years old and putting legs down will take a lot of power, so I looked at the solar regulator and it has 3 red lights on it I have no instructions for it anybody have an idea o

The 3 red lights are just telling you what you already know..
Your battery voltage is way down..
The green charge light indicated your panel is connected and working...
Check the voltages with a meter at the connections at the bottom of the controller , but you will at the very least have to recharge your battery using the mains charger and see if its still servicible...
If the panel is working you will get a good voltage across those two connections with any sort of light...

When was the last time it was sunny up there? Not much solar charging for the last month in South Yorkshire.
I've had to plug the van into the EHU

If you have an alarm fitted then it is probably using more power than you are getting from your solar panels so you get a gradual drop over a long period of time. You need to plug a charger in and get them fully charged. You have perhaps left something switched on like an inverter which will use power even if nothing is plugged in. Even a TV on standby will use power.
