Hi Betty

They are not difficult to fit but much depends on the DIYers skills..

If they feel confident about sizing and running cables and fitting a charge controller then it's straight forward.. if however the last sentence was double Dutch then I would leave it to a professional ..

as jim said, not difficult but you do need the confidence to drill a hole through the roof in exactly the right place.

mounted mine above the wardrobe and brought the wires through and into the w/robe. fitted the controller at the top of the w/robe wall and ran wires down to charger/power supply which is in the bottom of the w/robe.
use a good quality sealer under the panel mounting brackets and the cable entry hole and all should be well.

To simplify glue solar panel to the roof using Sikaflex bringing a 2 core cable through the roof using a weather proof gland bedded again with Sikaflex , connect the wire to the regulator marked with a pic of a solar panel , bring a cable feed from the leisure battery to the regulator connected to the battery pic . HEY PRESTO :roflmto: Make sure you use a decent size cable , minimum 2.5mm
