hi everyone, got a 98 swift royale 610 very pleased with her got a solar panel on roof and small box inside van that just says solar panel. how do i know if panel is working correctly ?::bigsmile:

can you find and post a link.

there are loads and without knowing the make/type its hard to give advice.

for less than ÂŁ20 you can get an LED controller...tells you most of what you need to know via different LEDS.

easiest way is to disconnect the battery and see if there is a reading across the battery leads (note leads not battery)

There will be 2 wires going into the solar regulator and two going out to the battery, using a multi meter check for a voltage with the wires coming from the panel , upto 21volts then as Wildman says check battery feed and should be showing a voltage of approx 12 - 13volts , also check for an inline fuse near the battery and make sure its ok

Note that at this time of the year and with a small panel the charge may be consumed by the regulator leaving nothing for the battery or only a few milliamps.
