I just wired it via votronic duo controller straight to the battery in our Elddis 105. It maintains the starter battery toošŸ‘

2 wires from the solar panel to a suitable solar controller, 2 wires from the controller to the battery (fused) That's the simplest set up. You can get a dual output controller that will also connect to the engine start battery.

I think they are trying to connect through the on-board controller - But I agree with above - a dedicated controller is better.

We have 2 100 w solar panels and two separate Victron Energy MPPT 75|15 , logic according to Vanbitz if both go into one mppt, them if that fails you are sunk.

We recently upgraded the batteries to lithium, with an inverter and a smart shunt..
