Solar panel controller size (1 Viewer)

I have a 100 watt solar panel and a 20 amp controller.
The panel gives 5-6 amps in bright sunshine.
I am thinking of adding another 100 watt panel (exactly the same as the existing one).
The manufacturer sells a cable to join the 2 panels together.
I assume that the 20 amp controller will be ok with 2 X 100 watt panels and a max of about 12 amps ?

Will not be a problem, but make sure that the panel you add is the same voltage as your existing (same number of cells).

Thanks, the new panel will be exactly the same as the existing panel.
