Our van is in open air storage. I aim to visit once a week or fortnightly at the most. I would appreciate recommendations regarding a solar panel I can leave on the dashboard. I would connect it to the battery for the van, a Peugeot Boxer, which is in the passenger footwell. So the leads need to be long enough. Some I have seen have very short leads. The battery itself is brand new. Very likely discussed elsewhere but would appreciate your help.

I assume the battery needs to be disconnected when it's attached to the panel. Can that in itself lead to problems?

As a motorhome newbie advice is much appreciated.

Thanks ☺

Hi There

Got one of these before Christmas seems to work well. I’ve attached to passenger window and leads are long enough to run to battery in footwell.
I have a tracker on the van so I can monitor the strength of the battery and it’s keeping it at around 12.6 volts and that’s in relatively cloudy weather..
Will be getting a battery master fitted in the spring but hopefully this should see me through the winter.

Thanks. Is it OK to leave the battery connected to the vehicle while the panel is connected?
