Solar output more than rated Voc or I'm testing wrong?

2018 but still a newbie.
So the solar panel I have has a Voc of 23.36v

But when I test it I'm getting 31-32v and I'm worried the Ctek will blow as that's only rated at 23v

I'm very aware I could be testing wrong.

In the last photo looks like the meter is on the 20ma scale but the socket you're using is the 10A one 🤔

Battery symbol is showing on your meter probably means battery is flat. Multimeters read high when the battery is flat.
I never knew that. That could well be the issue.

Standard test conditions for a solar panel are 1kW/m2, 25 degrees C, no wind. If it's colder and/or it's windy then the voltage is higher. The worst conditions for possible high voltage are a cold sunny winter day, which you might not expect.
 
Welp, it seems the controller has died :crying1:
It's just not taking solar input. Still works from the alternator. Totally user error for sure, an expensive one at that.
