I bought a Baird complete kit for just over £100 which was fitted to my former van and with a 1000w 2000w peak pure sine wave inverter it worked fine

Solar panels are cheaper now than they ever were. Its not uncommon to buy them at much less the £1 per watt. These seem to sell well, and the cheapest I have found. Broken Link Removed
