Have owned my moho for 2.5 years now
I have been quoted £494 + vat for the supply and install of a victron 175w solar panel is that a reasonable price. Before anyone says i haven't the skills to do it myself lol

Have you had any other quotes?

I paid £163 for the exact same victron 175watt panel, but I did fit it myself which involved quite a bit of work to mount it in a way I thought was acceptable.

So, if you can't do the work yourself and your happy with the quote then, maybe yes it's a reasonable price.

But, what about a controller?

Yes the other quotes were 650 but for a smaller wattage pannel. The controller if thats the same as the regulator is a Victron Blue Solar MPPT 75/15 solar regulator along with a sterling battery maintainer

I see you have an Autotrail.. Many already have a built in solar regulator and only need a cable to connect the panel.
If you have the EC500 it will accept 120w panel as standard plus retain the smart charge features to give information on the control panel and will charge both engine and leisure battery. Its not the most efficient regulator but does the job.
If you do decide on a seperate regulator ensure its a dual one to do both batteries, habitation and engine(y) Just looked at the spec of the Victron you mentioned and i dont think that is a dual one..

I think that is why there is a DC-DC battery maintaining device

If you think you may wish to add more solar in the future you might wish to consider fitting a higher rated regulator, say 100/20 or larger even depending on roof space.

Also if you go to hot countries. I oversized ours because it's under the bench seat and it gets warm in Benidorm 👍150w panel 250w controller.
