Next month looking for route ideas for a detour with no overnight stop from Hay on wye into Snowdonia national park and then onto friends near Shrewsbury. Our vehicle is just under 7m so no gated roads please.

Are you just wishing to drive through Snowdonia, for the scenery or hoping to park up and look around, it maybe a little quieter in November be aware that the roads are narrow winding with stone walls each side throughout the journey through the Snowdonia range, it is very beautiful we have done it many times and never tire of it.
Beddgelert. llanberis Blaenau ffestiniog Conway Betws-y-Coed so many places to visit all beautiful to visit,. don't forget these places are all spread out through Snowdonia so you won't automatically come from one to another,. I would say the drive through the Snowdonia Range is one not to miss, be aware of the weather in November, plan your route and see which Snowdonia towns and villages are on route.

Just had a look on a map (useful things in case anyone has forgotten them!). From Hay stick to the A470 through Builth Wells, maybe a little diversion to Machynlleth, on to Betws-y-Coed then back down to Shrewsbury on A5. This is going to be the most you're going to want to drive in one day and takes you through the Snowdonia National park on good roads.

Booked an overnight in Betws-y-Coed at Riverside Touring park, hoping to have time to stop at Bulith Wells and grab some lunch....

Good idea, gives you chance to really see the sights.

Weather forecasting in Snowdonia; if you can see the top of Snowdon it's going to rain. If you can't see the top of Snowdon it is raining!

Enjoy your day in Betws-y-Coed have a walk along the boardwalk along the River, have a look around Anna Davies one off our traditions when we're in Betws-y-Coed have a walk through to the station go go over the bridge to the churchyard through the churchyard and you'll see a gate to a suspension bridge over the river worth a little walk and explore.
I hope you enjoy your day in Snowdonia.
