Blizzards have hit the French Mediterranean coast amid warnings of up to 20 inches of snow in Northern Spain on Tuesday.

Our eldest daughter and two mates are stuck in it. They should have been on a flight from Girona airport last night, but could not get thought to the airport on the phone, where they are staying they have No buses or taxi's running and all the powers Off so No electric, so phoned us and Jane managed to find out on the web site for Ryan Air the flight was cancelled and managed to re book them for tomorrow night all going well. Bob.

BSB testing cancelled at Guadix today because of snow, Hilldweller. OK it is round the edge of the Sierra Nevada, but any place that's sinposted from just outside Almeria getting flipping snow has gotta be a bit scary!!!

Greetings All,

Just arrived home in Cornwall after getting off the Santander ferry this eveing.

Yesterday we travelled the A68 from Haro to Bilbao and to say that the trip was interesting is understatement of the year.

The long haul up the hill from Bilbao was littered with lorries pointing in all directions and the snow ploughs were unable to get past those that were all over the road.

We were fortunate in leaving Haro at 10am and we only just made it to the summit before that became impassable.
Greetings to all those we left behind in Benicassim. Enjoy the Spring.

The snow duly came we got about 8" other places inland had= 65 mm rain falling as snow so approx 30" power lines down we have just had power restored after 48 hours -it started to snow monday lunchtime and continued for many hours with the dreaded Tramontana wind it was diabolical all shops,petrol,gas supplies ceased. It just shows what is taken for granted and if that is threatened!!. Now a warm Al.
