It would seem the late comers to the South have had a little delay due to some of the white stuff --- should have set off sooner. Report

Also heard today from a distant relation who lives in Lanzerote, it is freezing where she lives apparently which is almost unheard of and the houses don't have heating and no one has any warm clothes. Sounds like a business opportunity if someone want to get over there with a suitcase full of Damart's best and a fan heater or two!

It is the usual scaremongers, yes there is snow in Spain but a friend of ours landed at Santander yesterday morning and slept in portugal. We are near to albuferia in the Algarve and been sat out for the last three days in glorious sunshine, albeit ar wee bit frosty during the night

There was a lot of ice to be seen in the puddles yesterday in the hills around Messines. Some of the Dutch people here were going to start moving north to return to the Netherlands but have decided to stay for some more days as there is a severe weather warnings in place on all their routes!

To make matters worse we had a power cut all last night, and the mercury plunged so the water bottles came out, never thought we'd have to use them here in the Algarve
