Does anyone know of a chain store in Spain which sells snow chains , we changed our motorhome and old ones don't fit and I didn't have time to buy any before we left.
We are currently in Mojacar and leaving soon to travel to North Spain.

Thanks

Having carried those infernal things for most of my working life I swore when I retired I would never travel anywhere that I would need them. If in the unlikely event am caught out on the road when its snowing I find a nice restaurant/bar and park up until the weather has cleared. Snow chains are the devils handywork.

Its not mandatory to have Snow Chains in Spain but if the Road is signposted "Cadenas" (chains ) you must fit them or wait until the road is cleared and the restriction is lifted. Most main routes are cleared very quickly.

last year woke up to heavy snow after spending the night at the
bottom of a valley in derbyshire, tried to get out with just the winter
tyres on and didn't make a mile,
fitted the chains totally transformed the grip to nearly normal on a wet road,
personally i considered it's the best money spent, simple to put on and take off, If you use long gauntlet type gloves to stop the crap getting on your arms,

My neighbor has bought a pair of snow socks! I’d never seen them before but he said that there much easier to fit then chains and kinder to your tyres.
He dose drive a FWD van so I guess he’d need them!

Thank you all, a caravan shop in Lorca sourced some for us whilst we had a coffee in the bar opposite, carried them for years and never needed them but Sod's law if we hadn't got them we would need them. Sitting in Aranzuez now, lovely but very cold, waiting for the snow to clear in Burgos, then onto Bilbao.

Warnings on FB today for northern Spain, from the Spanish traffic police ....

“Right now, more than ten roads are closed on the north due to the adverse weather conditions.

If you are going to travel north during the weekend, please check the dgt map to find alternative routes.

Have a look on the map, black points mean that the road is closed, red that is difficult to pass through it.”
