Hi
We,v just recently bought out first motorhome last week a 7.3m Autotrail, having used two Similar 7 m long hire ones for trips away over the last couple of years and making one rather long trip to the Ukraine in May this year. I realised the importance of having a good satnav system, so we decided to start buying essential items Leading up to when we would be able to purchase our own motorhome, so after a bit of research I managed to buy a used snooper S 6800 pro with free lifetime map updates and a large campsite database for all over Europe
Having felt rather pleased with myself after updating to the most recent eu maps I thought well that’s a good job done so I then decided to go and have a good mooch inside our van that’s been sat on the path for the last couple of days
And lo and behold I’ve just found a 2016 Falcon navigator all packed away in its own box,
I’ve looked into this Falcon satnav and it seems to have identical features to the snooper, I don’t need Two satnav’s so I’ll be hanging onto the best one and selling on the other just wondered if anybody knew which was the better one to keep,
PS I think the Falcon also has free map updates but I’m not sure,

Our Falcon threw a wobbly after a few months and refused to do anything she was asked to do so we sacked her. Didn't seem to be very good quality.

I've had a Snooper S 6800 Ventura for 2 years and found it to be a good reliable sat nav. In addition it has the ACSI camping sites. The recent updates include the new French speed limits on non- toll roads. Also found Snooper have good technical back up.

Agree about Snooper ‘support’
This year in remote part of France it ‘hiccuped’ and I rang Snooper and they talked me through it and all sorted.

I'd keep the pair of them it is a pain when a unit plays up - been in that situation and always run 2 sat navs now so have backup if needed

Thanks for the replies it looked like the snooper is probably the best one to keep,
Does anyone know if the map updates are free for the Falcon as I’ve tried to contact Falcon support but it’s just an answering service and they say they won’t
be able to respond till the middle of next week, I have a guy asking to buy it but he wants to know if there are free lifetime map updates
Thanks for your help in advance
