smoking engine agane

hi my engine has started smoking agene was wondering
could this be
(1) the fuel filter
(2) timing moved
it is tagging a bit of cranking to get it going
bill

the cranking problem the non return valve on the lift pump had a bit of crap in it so fuel was draining back and system was not staying pressurised I have put additional NRV in system now
 
was a bit wored as were going down to Lympstone Devon at the weekend for a wedding friend of mine his son is getting marred driving down Friday night
drive back Sunday night over night

Compression is not a problem it's been starting with out hater plugs Frome could from the rebuild it's sorted now:BigGrin:

It could be water in the fuel pump, have you checked the nrv in the fuel line? ;)

That's what was cussing depressurisation of the system fixed it now but no water in to fuel pump I know of.
