Smev hob glass lid

    Hi, I want to remove a glass cover on a Smev hob, anybody know if there’s a tool for undoing the screws that hold the lid on.

    If it's like this then there is a special tool to fit the small indentations in the plastic screws. I undid them with some long nose plier - they are not tight.

    Yep but no good for you - you would need the short fat ones

    Thanks for replies, I’ve just replaced the hob and the new one didn’t have the fold out heat shield on it, so I planned to swap the lids but the old one is very scratched.
    Anyway looking at the heat shield, the bracket were stuck on ( not the word ‘were’ stuck on) well they came off easy so I only have to stick them on the new lid.
