Hi guys

Guess which bimbo shut the lid on her cooker top without turning the gas ring off!!!! Yeah, all of a sudden this almighty explosion as the glass heated and shattered. Now the best I can find is £151 for a new lid. Anyone know where I can source one cheaper. Looking at the pics I think it is a 400 series post 2004. All help greatly appreciated before he who must be obeyed cuts off my wine supply. :helpsos

the only place I know of is Cak Tanks www.caktanks.co.uk/ look underspare - email them a description and they will quote you. Your gas ring should have shut off as you put the lid down on the 400 series as there is a cut off valve which operated as soon as the lid goes down from the vertical . May be worth checking the settings on that before you fit the new lid
