Does anyone get a smell from their trauma boiler ours smells like plastic getting to hot, we had a new pcb fitted 18 months ago and the place that fitted it tested water temps and both 40 and 60c were within tolerances and checked for overheating.

yes.... we get that from ours when heating water only. It has done it since new (2 years ago)....... works ok tho'

Not had it, but have read elsewhere that it relates to bends in the piping being too tight / close to the boiler. Trauma technical department are very helpful.

Ours does it too, although not all the time. Seems to be on water only, and when set to 60, but then not always. I suspect - but am not sure - may only be on electric.

Our FB Tracker had strong smell occasionally discovered that the ducting near the boiler under the fridge got really hot and the smell was coming from outlet it fed by the door never discovered cause and have since parted with van in favour of a Hymer A class

Have had the same , weird or needs investigating? Thoughts from the experts? Cheers !

when heating water only on electric only very little airflow so will get hot.

Ours does this and seems to be if it's on 60 setting. Also in a Hymer, I've found if I keep it at 40 it doesn't seem to happen (n)

Worth investigating. Maybe nothing but if not you want to find out?
