I have tried to commicate with them but been unable to get a response

We have had the unlimited data sim in our mifi for a few months, not extensively used as yet but no issues streaming video in Bruges back in the autumn or down in Dorset over new year. So far so good.
Do Smarty only provide online support - e.g. chat vs telephone?

They only talk on line and as I said I cannot seem to get a response.
Good to hear your answer...I am keen to find out its success all over Europe and whether there is a limit for streaming.
I tried giff gaff last year but was disappointed with them.

We've had the unlimited for 9 months now and have used it all over Europe inc Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and various others without any problems.
With regard to contacting them using their web chat, submit your question/query, leave your email address or mobile number and they will get back to you.

Have you encountered any roaming related ‘fair usage’ maximums when in Europe? I think I saw a reference to 19GB (or similar) somewhere, but not sure if enforced.

Can't help with the roaming question but they have been good at getting back to me on their online chat facility.

I'm lead to believe that they do have a "fair usage" policy of 19GB however, I went over that limit twice last summer and nobody from smarty said anything.

I don't understand why one would buy an unlimited data package if there is a 19gb limit.
Are there any unlimited Sims that mean unlimited available?

All unlimited data sims the unlimited only applies to the UK, Vodafone has the highest cap at 25GB.

So if you got the 50gb plan would that guarantee 50gb in Europe?

I'm thinking of the Smarty 30gb for £10 deal which looks good to me.
But I need to check any roaming limits.
I'm on 3 anyway.

Please feedback as soon as you find out....thanks

Hidden in the bowels of Smarty site you find this. It doesn’t seem to matter how many GB you have in your contract you will be restricted to 20 GB when abroad in an EU country

Had a good play with a Smarty SIM last week in Portugal, was pleased to find that it could be activated and used abroad on first use - so that's a plus.

However, speeds were notably throttled when compared with a Vodafone router running side by side connected to the same operator. That being said, it was useable and maximum download speed is not that relevant when you only have 20GB.

If it's EU use you're after, check out VOXI (Vodafone Pre-Paid) - 45GB of data for £20pm with no EU cap - but a strict 2 months foreign use limit that I've heard first hand from a number of people is in fact enforced.

Smarty changed their tariffs in the last couple of days - so those who used to use the 'Unlimited' plan abroad for £20 (19GB-20GB cap) as the next one down was 8GB would now be better off choosing the 30GB plan for £10 and get the same amount of EU data.
