Am considering purchasing a Smart car from a private seller. The car is fine but am just asking the question as to whether anybody has come across the particular braking system that is installed on this car.

Have attached a picture of the system controller for reference and as you can see its a US based company.
Would appreciate any comments.

I dont have any experience of this system. But if it is like the "Brake Buddy" then the controller regulates the vacuum to the brakes, and is controlled via the car brake light (No cable). ie; you brake, the brake light acts on the relay which applies the brake on the Smart. the controller regulates the amount of braking so that it is neither too severe (locking the tyre up) or insufficient, allowing the owner to set the braking effort for the rig.
