What are the smallest motorhomes that that incorporate the essentials of toilet and shower compartment? SWMBO won’t consider anything without those but also wants a “small” motorhome. Must be no wider than a van conversion.

TIA.

I saw a Wildax Pulsar this week - only 5m long and has all the necessaries. Looked very neat. Alternatively, for an extra half metre the Murvi Piccolo and Pimento have a little more cat-swinging space.

No excuse for showing it again but this has full bathroom with toilet and shower, first things in (y) ;)

Ask Wendy CWH about her dinky 5m Wildax Pulsar...
5 meters long (plus a little extra for spare wheel), 2.45 wide including mirrors, 2.83 high including tv aerial.
2 sliding doors, 4 full travelling seats that convert quickly into a transverse double bed. 4 lockers & narrow wardrobe plus huge over cab locker.
Wetroom with loo, usable shower, fold-down basin, 2 large lockers.
Kitchen area with fridge, sink, oven if you want (but I just have a hob). 3 overhead lockers, sliding larder and 4 drawers.
Underslung lpg, fresh water & grey water. Tank heaters.
Boiler & blown air heating.
Solar panel, 2 leisure batteries.
Cracking little van.

HymerCar Ayers Rock 5.4 m small enough to park on your drive there may be smaller but really compact and highly functional 100 l water shower loo, Truma heating hot & cold water shower loo + more

Just remember 2 people in a tiny van is like being in a prison cell when the bad weather stops you getting out. If you argue, it can be like hell on earth with no escape. Could the 2 of you survive being locked in an average bathroom together for 24 hours or more?

It's not something I'd do but plenty do - there's always the option of an awning/room.
There's certainly an 'art' to living in a smaller van.

I truly do not get this, it may be small but oh so comfy to spend time with the one you love ❤️. If there is a disagreement talk it gets resolved space has nothing (in my opinion) to do with it. If there is an argument at home we don’t run in to separate rooms.

Personally can’t see the difference between a small camper and a larger one they are all small and as I say walking away when having a disagreement is not what we do. Life is too short for that.

Consort motorhomes do a 5.4 m van with a U shaped lounge. I’ve not seen one in the flesh though but the U shaped bit converts into a a transverse double. The converter is Scott Nayler who started Vantage vans but he has gone out on his own again so I would imagine they will be well made. His base price includes a solar panel as the fridge is a condensor one.

Tim(OP)

What about a 'small' MH is your requirement other than its width?

Is it parking in small CP spaces? Even a 5m might overhang the lines of some.

Is it the idea that a longer one wil not go some places? This is unlikely until well over 7m.

Give us a bit more idea of your needs/requirements, also your style of motorhoming and activities(bicycles?) on the road, because that might dictate storage space.

I know one from the past, but at present I can't quite bring it to mind. Maybe in the future... Hymer - no...Lunar - no... Laika - no... Eldiss - more like it...

Yes, got it: Tardis.::bigsmile:

The secret to a happy marriage is compromise of course and never argue back at she who knows best. We are lucky because we rarely argue but when we do, my workshop is my sanctuary or out to the van to watch tv and potter with jobs.

We have been camping together since before we got married and have known some pretty awful holidays, where it rained incessantly for days. These tend to add to any stress so that disagreements happen all too easily. Anyone that says they never argue is either a saint or deluded, it is normal human behaviour. We don't run away to another room, but will put some space between us to let the dust settle and calm down a bit

One consideration for OP, is do either of you want to sleep/rest at times when the other doesn't?

Then one needs a fixed bed, not a make-up one. That and having other sitting space adds to size/length of MH.

Those chairs look comfy, how well do they fold down and what is the make please?

Pete
Very comfy mate , been all round Europe three times , still as good as new, don't know what they are off hand but will have a look in a bit.

Sounds like the OP wants a CB not a PVC.
About the narrowest CB is a Carthago Compact Line only 2.12 m wide and start at 6.4m long.
