Sky and the Algarve (1 Viewer)

Are any of you Funsters able to pick up Sky by means of a roof mounted sat dish anywhere on the Algarve pls? Or even south of Lisbon?

If so which dish and diameter pls?

You don't say which SKY channels you are interested in, therefore

Yes - you can pick up some Sky channels in North Africa - 85 cm Oyster / auto skew, roof mounted

The "discussion" was over Sky subscription channels in general rather than anyone specific.

Not wanting to appear picky but in your last sentence do you mean"not just" rather than "just not"? This makes a significantchange to your response.

Most of the Sky pay channels are on a "Euro" beam, and should be good to get.

Some Sky pay channels (inc the SD Discoveries, ITV Encore, ITV2HD,3hd,4hd, E!, Universal, ScyFy, BT Sports, GOLD, Eden, Watch, Alibi, ), and the majority of the free channels (BBC, ITV; C4, Five; Dave) are on the UK beam, so need a very large dish...

So it does depend which Sky pay channels you want...

FTA Europe beam only things like Pick, Forces TV, Talking Pictures, Movies for Men, Challenge, Blaze & Sky news.
85 Gibertini on motor plus Oyster V11 on Motorhome in Algarve. Plenty more on subs.

So whatever chemicals on baby wipes are strong enough to neutralise Putin's nasties are transferred to the delicate bits of very young humans. I hope that Porton Down has done it's homework.
