I’ve cut and sprayed a piece of Skadis for our van but when I look at the chosen mounting position the ply there is only 10mm and backs straight through to the bathroom wall so if I want to avoid screwing through I don’t have much depth for a good grab.

Cutting the Skadis means I can’t use the IKEA mounting bar and the 3d printed mounts I’ve found all require quite a long wood screw so I’d only get the point into the ply and not up to the parallel threaded section.

Anyone have other ideas or suggestions for mounting Skadis?

Depends what weight you intend to put on it, we have a heavy magnetic knife rack that I’ve fixed up with double sided tape

I have something to screw to my van that Lenny hasn't heard of! I won Motorhome Fun!

I'm thinking something like that. I could print a plate to glue up and then screw to that.

The problem is the pegboard needs a gap behind it in order to work

Stick a couple of timber battens horizontally where the mounting points are (spray them black first) then screw the board to them.

In a 4 x 4 off broader everything will go flying everywhere. 😉
Yes, the likelihood is that stuff could jump out, or the containers themselves on a bumpy track. At the very least I'd expect them to rattle whilst on the move although it may be possible to solve this by putting some double sided tape/sticky pads on the back of the containers to keep them in place.

I printed most of the fittings and they're pretty tight. There are also little bungs you can print to trap the pegs in.

I also adopted your beam suggestion but I printed it rather than cutting wood. I'm going to bond it with removable glue for one trip so we can see if the problem you (and I tbh) anticipate do happen.

Pegboard??
Bit 70’s Common Room isn’t it? 😀
Jones has an increasingly 70s common room soundtrack.

A sort of time capsule? Complete with leather elbow patches and the lingering aroma of Old Spice and Old Holborn?

That's me.

The pegboard however looks fairly modern.

As I said it's stuck up with Unibond Stick and Peel at the moment which isn't the strongest glue. If we like it, I'll replace it with some VHB tape or similar.

If I want a permanent attachment, or the Loo roll has come loose, I use Nutserts similar to these...

Ooh, I’ve got one of those but I use it flat in a drawer with the supplied pegs to keep things from sliding around.
