For me, refillable and 2 x11kgs if you can. I chose manual changeover so I know when 1 is empty and look over next few days for a garage that has LPG (or GPL) depending where I am.

Also depends on your intended use if you are a hook up on campsite person less gas won't be a problem . My personal buy might be 1 refillable gasit 11 kg and a 6kg calor as an emergency back up

The main issue is weight rather than size .

I started wondering about this gas bottle weight business.
I have 2 x 13Kg bottles in various states of full.
When full they weigh 27 kg - when empty they weigh 14kg each.
I always have to carry gas so I always have to carry upto 26 kg of gas.
Even with gasit cylinders I would still be carrying 26 kg of gas and 28 kg of bottles = max 54 kg - unless I down sized.

Nahh - I have enough slack before I become overweight as I'm too tight to carry too much other crap.

If you plan on going to Europe in the MH i would suggest you look into a refillable system like Gasit or Gaslow etc

Are their cylinders lighter then?
Sorry i meant this for the OP , as in if they plan to visit Europe they would be best investing in a refillable system due to it being hard / impossible to get replacement gas bottles when their gas runs done. :)

If not going the refillable route Id go as big as possible as price per kg is less in the bigger bottles. I have 2x11kg alugas for lightness though that lasts quite a while.

If getting Calor gas, you used to be able to change the size at will each time you get a refill. The bigger the bottle, the less you'll pay for the gas. If I could fit a 13kg one in, that's what I'd get.

On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
Really depends on use, we have 2x 11kg refillable, if used over winter without electrics we can get through 11kg in a week, if you use electrics, and only use the gas for a bit of cooking then no point going refillable.
