If you are in the CC there is a very nice CL on a regular bus route between Newcastle and Durham City.
It is well placed to explore Newcastle, Durham City and many local attractions like Beamish Museum, a must.
It is also 100 yards from a pub which services good food and a Tesco 2 miles away. The site is on a part time farm but a beautiful location and is always pretty full with motorhomes due to it's location.
The location is called at Maiden Law near the roman village of Lanchester Another CL is near Whickham which is a C&C
site but is rather remote with a motorhome. I am not aware of many close to Newcastle.
If I can help in anyway please let me know. Enjoy your trip to Geordieland.

Durham City rowing club.
Beautiful spot on the bank of the river Wear, 10 minute walk into Durham City, plenty of choices for travelling to Newcastle either by rail or bus.
Durham has plenty of shops, pubs and eating places, and places of interest including the Rugby Club which is 3 minutes away, good if your other half doesn't like Rugby
