Emily is training at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club during half term so Graham and I are staying a few days around that area. First night staying in the Yacht club car park so thats sorted. We wondered if any Funsters can recommend anywhere not too far from Cardiff that is worth seeing along with recommending any sites.

Thanks

We have just returned today from holiday where we toured to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath & Oxford. We stayed at the cc site Tredegar House which is nearer to Newport than Cardiff but was a nice site easy to get to & good friendly knowledge wardens who told us about the new park & ride just off The M4 (think it was junction 29) which we used & it was great for visiting Cardiff. We only had 1 day there so jumped on the city tour sightseeing bus which you can get on & off at lots of stops. As we were lucky with the weather we spent time in the new bay area & walked to the barrier then caught a boat back across the bay.

Hi Thanks for that. Will take a look in a mo. Going down on the Sunday and staying at the Sailing club then having a few days around the area. You yourself know how long it takes to get there from Norwich so gonna stay instead of coming home. Didnt want to go too far away from Cardiff but also dont want to be too close to the Sailing Club or Emily will want to stay with us  Each time we've been to Cardiff we have never seen further than Cardiff Bay so looking forward to being a tourist for a change.
