Looking to make up a lead for connecting too site TV connections.
What type of connections are usually required for uk sites, F type or standard Coax, Male or female?

Are they usually covered up to prevent water ingress into the cable?

Just had a rethink and it would be better to have the F type on the cable which should be put on with the gadget that you can buy which secures it on and then use a co-ax adapter.

This will cover most situations, maybe get a F to RF female adapter to cover all options.

I've only used standard coax connectors (male) on bollards. The few times I've tried to used bollards always got rubbish reception, so used portable sat dish. The CAMC bollard connectors are covered.

As Mikeco says 25m (or shorter if you think you'll reach the bollard) of co-axial cable with an F plug at either end and an RF \ F adapter and you have both options covered. You'll get the plugs \ adapters in Toolstation, Screwfix, etc (in packs of ten though).

If I was setting this up I would do it with F connector on the coax and use a push fit F connecter and a F to Coax, then have a number of combinations that you can choose

The problem with on site tv aerial connections on the bollards is the connectors get so worn they’re next to useless most of the time.
The middle pin is often broken. Carry a paper clip

Never experienced that issue (yet) on a club site.

If I can't receive live TV, I'll watch something recorded.

If you're planning to go abroad in the future with this kit (🌝) be aware that on some sites in Europe UK television is available on the pitches, but, it may be streamed out on analogue not digital. While in Spain we were lucky enough to see our regional news but that was a one off.

A big thanks to you all, I have the stuff to make up the cable so it looks like fix F plugs with a coax adapter

I also got a short flat co-ax connecting cable to allow outside feed to come through my closed window & closed blind...

Thanks for this but I will have a tv connection point located in the EHU compartment so no need for this.
