Hoping to be coming off Poole Gijon ferry mid January. Anyone know of a site or aire within a couple of hours drive from port.BUSBY

There is an aire in Leon which is almost exactly two hours drive from Gijon. It's in the All The Aires Guide to Spain/Portugal.
If you are planning to spend your time on aires you should get this book from Vicarious Books.
The aire in Leon is right next to the river in the centre of the city. It's a nice city too - worth spending a day at least.

I had no idea you could get from Poole to Spain, and wondered why you were being offered sites in Spain, I thought that that would be some drive, in 2 hours from Brittany.

I am now a bit wiser, just need to retain some of the bits I glean from this site
