Grandchildren and Grandog Sitting at the end of this month.

We are looking for somewhere within 2 (ish) hours of Manchester where we can take the Dog. Grandchildren are all under 11.

Can only go Friday night to Sunday night (Bloody School Rules).

Any suggestions please?. Our Grandchildren are very easily pleased.

Southport Pleasureland parking. It is just a car park but you are able to get hook up/elson disposal/drinking water.
The beach there isn't marvellous but you could go further up to Ainsdale beach,/dunes. There is a Morrisons and shopping esplanade within walking distance, chip shops, Italian restaurants and the grandchildren may enjoy the Pleasureland fairground. There is a large swimming pool complex right across the road from the entrance.

As Movan said, Southport, take their bikes, the prom and park behind the pleasure land carpark is ideal for bikes or walking and Southport has a large pedestrianised shopping area with other areas having wide pavements. Not much of a beach, sandeise, but the prom area is nice to walk around.
For the pleasure land carpark you have to book and pay on line now, its around Ā£15 per night. (y)

Another vote for Southport. Our grandkids like it. The pleasure land is just s car park but in an ideal spot and if only 2 night no hardship.

If your dog doesnā€™t like fireworis, check with Pleasurland, they used to have a display every a Saturday.
