Site for Commonwealth Games

Bought tickets ages ago for the games and booked Warwick Racecourse site intending to travel by train.
The Athletics finishes at 22:00 and is a 25 minute walk from the nearest station.
I'm really struggling to find somewhere we can stay traveling by public transport or cycle.

There will be buses (both shuttle buses and normal scheduled buses) which will be nearer to the stadium than the rail station is, going into Birmingham Town Centre(Cost of public transport within West Midlands is included in your ticket price).
The last train to Warwick is 23:25 from Moor St Station and you would need to pay cost of rail ticket between Dorridge (boundary point) and Warwick.
Cycle from station to racecourse would be about 15 minutes. The station does have cycle parking facilities.
I don't know of any nearer sites with access to regular public transport.

Any bus that goes past stadium will (should) get you into town in 20 minutes. Not sure how long the shuttle buses will take.
