Hi the Missus and I are embarking on our first trip to Spain end of January and all February via Fance. Do we need to book sites in Spain if we want to stay a few nights in one place? We anticipate the Med coast probably down as far as Alicante, but cutting across via Pamplona etc
Thanks in advance

In our area of Spain (Andalusia) sites are busy due to the North Europeans coming for winter, i would book ahead.

Get an ACSI 2023 card....if you book, you have to stay...it might not be to your liking...very busy in Spain during the winter months...

The sites where we are in Javea are busy at that time, that is not saying you
won't get on because you might be lucky, we have been given a pitch for a few days that's booked and promised to leave on a particular day. 😁

If you want to try and get on a particular site or location it's probably better to try and book. 😎 Bob.

On route at the moment travelling from Murcia to France on Med coast, managed to get on a site just north of Sagunt bit it's rammed with northern europeans wintering, so looking I would try and book if you want a lengthy stay but one night or two should be ok.

When we went in January last year for 90 days we found it hard to find space on sites that we had not already booked we tried Mazaron and it was rammed every where so had to move to Aguilis.

There's a big campsite at Albir just south of Benidorm, next to sea, but. It gets booked up, if Benidorm is your thing you can catch a bus to there we usually do ,but 1 day in Benidorm is enough for us !!

It was lovely. All the pitches are big and have water, waste water drain and electric on.

We had a pitch 12 metres by 7 metres. 11 euros a night. Electric is metered at 60c a unit. We had WiFi which was excellent strength. (Wasn't charged for it).

The site next door is expanding and is being surfaced at the moment.
