Last winter our bird feeder was mobbed by Siskins, earlier this winter we saw a couple once, but no more.
Is this the same for you.
We have plenty of other birds visiting, but the Siskins are notable by their absence.:xsad:

We only get them rarely, though when they come, they stay for a week or two, and only a small handful. That's generally spring/ early summer, and we had the usual numbers this year.
Striking little birds.

None here either
Lack of finches of any type for a while
Lots of tits and nuthatch
Had flock of long tail tits the other day but they seem to pass through and then disappear again

We must have all your finches.
Loads of blue & great tits but I have never seen a nuthatch here.
Lots of the the usual suspects too of course including recognisable regulars.

We have Goldfinch, most of the Tit species, Dunnock, and Robin visiting our feeding stations. A rarity for us was a couple of Bull Finch but not seen any of those for ages. I think weve had the occasional Siskin. Just looked out now and the bloody Starlings are mobbing the two fat ball stations but do a good job picking up all the sunflower hearts that the Goldfinch drop .

Yes the starlings do have a bit of a smash & grab system.....they are hooligans.

Our clear-up-everybody-else's-mess birds are rock doves, only 2 just now but can be up to a couple of dozen.
Ooh - everything's disappeared! I wonder if the sparrowhawk's around somewhere? - he does tend to sit in the tree watching (that's the tree with the xmas lights in!)
