Yes we're complete beginners, not getting our motorhome for another month yet, but was wondering should we join CCC and/or CC? I suspect that there are fans out there of one or another or both.

Not roo far from you a big private site lovely facilities loads of free evening entertainment. At Warren farm Brean sands near Burnham on sea.

That's one of the sites selected for our return to the old country in September. good to have a recommendation.

I visit there twice a year when they have the 60s and 70s tribute bands. Great free entertainment, also great clubhouse serving meals at sensible prices ,shop on site lovely cafe and fish and chip shop.....and the bus stop right outside ..got the lot including the 7 mile sandy beach and great walking and cycling routes.hope you enjoy it . If you go on line you can get the entertainment diary to see what's on when you are there. Roy

7 years followed by a break of 11 years and then 4+ years but given up now
Another advantage of the C&CC is that if a member of your family is disabled you can get them special membership .. which means they are free on club sites

Any details of this please because I can't find anything on the web site of the C & CC.

Hi
No its not well advertised and we were members for years until we found out about it.
Someone has to be a fully paid up member but you should then write to the club membership address with details of the disabled person (and your membership details). Include some evidence of their disability (dla letter or pip letter) and an explanation of their disability too and ask if this person can have special membership.

If accepted they will have a special membership card sent out.
Then when you book just don't book the disabled person in or even mention them (as it can get confusing)
When you get to the site just show their card.

Once again thanks, we're trying to decide where to go but don't want to spend a lot for facilities don't need. We just really want to get used to the driving, go somewhere with hook up and hard standing to practice how to park etc before we start being more adventurous and going further afield. Still got time for research ....
