Planning a few months away in our motorhome from April. Travelling to France, Italy, Sicilly, Greece and then up through the balkans.
Want to avoid roaming charges etc so can anyone recommend a cheap and reliable provider please

Do you consider £25.00 a month cheap, for unlimited calls, texts, and 100Gb of data......useable for up to 6 x months outside the UK? If so, have a look at https://www.popitmobile.co.uk/

Cheers,

Jock. :)

There are loads of recent topics on this which you can peruse at your leisure. Top right icon is search and a few key words will give you a plethora of information regarding your question. 👍🏻

Alternatively just do what JockandRita suggests above! 😜

Looks really good but it doesn’t state anything about roaming charges ! Are they inclusive within the monthly use ?
Please forgive me but I’m technically challenged. I’ve read articles on Popit and it sounds great. Reviews make reference to accessing Netflix, I Payer etc . Stupid question….. is this access just by phone or can you cast to a tv ? Stop laughing and treat me gently please

Burkey, if you don't know the answer, then it's not a stupid question. :)

If you have a smart TV, or a Firestick, you connect either to your mobile WiFi connection from your Popit sim. Now then, because it is a UK sim card, you won't need to install a VPN to watch Catch-up TV, Netflix, or Prime TV. Something less techy for you to worry about. ;)

Re roaming, you can roam across the 51 x countries listed through Europe, for up to six months, without further charge.

If you only require their sim card for EU roaming, you can either suspend the service for £1.00pcm until your next trip, or cancel the card altogether.

It's all in their blurb re T&Cs.

HTH,

Jock. :)

I have a fire stick and a Smart TV so it’s a great start. You’ve explained it brilliantly so we’re going for the £25 monthly plan
Can’t thank you enough Jock
Regards

Thanks Burkey.
I am always pleased to help where I can.

BTW, the team at Popit are extremely helpful if experiencing any problems.
Matthew or Dan are quick to reply, on the dedicated chat line.

Cheers
