Has anyone used these? €20 including shipping and tax, but lasts 10 years with no other payments . They have texts and data preloaded, enough for 10 years.

Says in the blurb it includes 500Mb data and 250 text. Not a lot for 10 years. They have texts and data preloaded, enough for 10 years.
No good for a phone sim but plenty for a tracker, mine uses so little data it never goes down, not in 3 years anywaySays in the blurb it includes 500Mb data and 250 text. Not a lot for 10 years.
That's dissapointing. I haven't registered with them. Does it say that after you've registered?Minimum order 100 units.

HarryML7 - out of interest which tracker do you have? Bit of a minefield trying to choose one that doesn’t want fee’s each month! I’ve been looking at developing my own but just can’t find the time and will cost more than something from Amazon/eBay. I know the views of some regarding their usefulness but I’m interested in a layerered security approach.* beside qty - explanation note at bottom of page, btw my gif gaff tracker sim uses 30mb a month.
I have 2, 1 which uses the gif gaff sim is a Chinese/eBay one that I have hard wired in my car, it’s been fitted for 3 years without a problem I give it a call every month and it has always responded, my other one is a completely self contained one which costs £30 pa from Monimoto which is very good (I think Halfords have just started selling them) it sends a movement alert and tracks as soon as it detects movement when the partnered key fob is not present.HarryML7 - out of interest which tracker do you have? Shutting down is a great idea to save battery. I’m not worried about just texts after a year, as long as it gives me the location I can feed it in to a map if I need to. I see it uses the 2G network, I do wonder when that will be turned off, no time soon I know but will one day.The reason it uses very little data is I made an off timer for it. It shuts down 30 minutes after the ignition goes off but the location stays on the app until the unit next updates it.
This saves battery drain & data but also makes it more difficult to find with a tracker locater. I set the update position time to 5 minutes too so it's not transmitting very often.
You ask it for a URL by text and it sends you this backShutting down is a great idea to save battery. I have a plan to create my own and have most of the parts but it’s the time I don’t have at the moment, something for £10 will do the job for now
That's the eSIM the normal sim lets you enter 1 in the box without the error message popping upbeside qty - explanation note at bottom of page
I've used a couple of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...75.m570.l2632&_nkw=tk103+tracker&_sacat=38635HarryML7 - out of interest which tracker do you have? Does it use a map app?TK103b with a giff gaff sim will do all that u want and more for about £20.
Obviously not state of the art or stealthy or monitored but if you can live with that then tells u where your van is or if it moves to your mobile with Google maps.
Think there are a few funsters with them.
It sends a text like this...Does it use a map app?
How long have you had it? The one I buy only lasts a year then the app feature says "offline"
Won't bother with that then, it functions like mine when the map app is offline. It sends a text like this...
lat:52.965598 lon:-2.664765
speed:0.00
T:21/01/29 16:58
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&q=52.965598,-2.664765&z=16
Pwr: ON Door: OFF ACC: OFF
On your smart phone you simply click on the Google Maps link and it shows the location.
Yes I was working there on the 31st of January and did this track to show a friend how it worked, the location is about 20m off the exact place the van was parked.
Look for DYEGOO in Google Play store. All these cheap trackers work in the same way by sending the GPS coordinates back to the registered sms device. There is some basic Google maps integration in that mine displays a small map as part of the text received from the device but if u want to see a full screen map u have to click the Google maps link in the text which obviously fires up that app.
I doubt I would get any sort of map without Google maps app on the smartphone but its not a running app when the sms arrives.
