One of the plastic wheel arch covers on my N&B has split away a little. It needs re-fixing and sealing so something like Sikaflex would be ideal. I'm reluctant to buy a full 300ml tube as I won't need much and last time I bought one, it dried up quickly wasting most of the tube.

I know it's only a tenner, but I hate waste. Does anyone know if there's a smaller tube available of Sikaflex or an equivalent product? It needs to be white, with good adhesion qualities and ideally mould free.

Thanks

Chris

You can buy smaller tubes (try somewhere like Force 4 https://www.force4.co.uk/item/Geoce...rm=4581458801389455&utm_content=Bing Shopping or Marine Superstore) but it is an expensive way of doing it. Buy a normal sized tube, use what you need and then stick what's left in the freezer. Keeps for ages that way but you do have to remember to get it out and defrost it well in advance of using it.

I always unscrew the nozzle, cover with some plastic film ( shopping bag/waste sack) and rescrew the nozzle. The stuff in the nozzle goes off so needs scraping out before reuses. Makes the tubes last a bit longer.

I have seen Sikaflex in small toothpaste size tubes in French campingcar dealers before.

Buy extra nozzles. Once you've used it just leave the nozzle on. Next time you want to use it. Take the nozzle off and fit a new one. I've kept it over a year and can still use it.

Keep part used tubes in the freezer. Will extend the shelf life by several months.
That’s how I lost several. In my garage freezes in winter. I keep my silicones and adhesives in the cellar.
