I'm new to the Forum, though have frequented many others over the years.
But I've never had a problem before with saving my signature

Please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

ps It now appears to be working - so sorry!
Shall now try to add a pic ...

you may have to resize any photos if the upload doesnt work.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 80 by 80 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

oooops thats the avater size.
this is the sig pic size.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 446 by 60 pixels or 500 Bytes (whichever is smaller).

Well I've tried shrinking it but it's either too large or too small

try it as it is first.....the program will try to reduce it and if it cant you may have to choose another pic.

Thanks John - but I'm using a Mac.
It created my avatar with no probs - still there's more than one way to skin a cat ::bigsmile:

This is where I'm doing my shrinking:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/

I think the problem is that the original is high resolution.

Nevermind - it was just a picture

On a Mac the easiest way is to export from iPhoto..

First, if you want to retain the original picture make a copy, then crop the copied picture square, get rid of any background you don't need.. then click export>

When the export box opens, use export "custom settings" , select size (120 x 120) and low quality.
Export to desktop where you can check file size before uploading.

Does 'Avatar Sizer' work on Mac? It's free and works well on Vista.
Not sure, but it works well on the site I mentioned before

I'm going to mail myself the picture from iphoto in a smaller resolution and then see if it resizes to the correct proportions ...
As I said, more ways than one to skin a cat :winky:
