We were in the same bike club ,his dad got killed on the track I remember ,the world champion came from my home town in Scotland

Hi @Enword Brian was a sidecar racer back in the day for many years and solo as well he did quite well in tt on both, mid seventies onwards a real adrenalin junkie who sadly died from an eye infection at 61, unbelievable eh

Went to a race a Mallory Park in about 1967-8 passenger fell off and the outfit turned over at the next bend, I believe the driver was killed.

Hi @Enword just googled Brian It was 79 his best result 4th in 1st leg average speed 98.7, I was there watching I think it was 78 when 2 we're killed very early on in the race I think fatalities were more common then not just at the TT
