Ok..
so mine is a 2013 Ducato.
Last time we got home the bulb (bright yellow bulb icon) warning lamp came up on dash.
I decided to check today.
Findings... no sidelights on near side. Nothing Front. Nothing rear. Everything else ok. (Including brake light on same bulb)
Took both bulbs out..ran continuity checks. Both ok ?
checked supply...no 12v

Got Fiat book out ( oh no...).. only shows one fuse for sidelights F58.
Can I find it.. NO!!!
not under dash, not in engine bay (although fuse cover diagram refers to it) and not in auxiliary place on pillar

So I am stumped???

1. Where is the sidelight fuse
2. There must be a split system as the offside are ok..although only mention of one fuse in book?

can anybody shed any light please????
Thanks in advance
Clemmo?

there will be another sidelight fuse as IIRC law requires separate circuits for redundancy . HTSH

That’s how I see it..
Can’t find one fuse let alone 2!
And the Handbook describes just 1?

F58 is in the fusebox in the right side door pillar, should be a cover towards the bottom of the pillar.
Headlamps are fused individually but only one fuse for the sidelights.

cheers..

all info I have ... but the panel doesn’t have a fuse box behind it? (panel below)
All it has is Leisure circuit wiring.
in addition if there is only one fuse...then all sidelight should be out?

Agree if it is the fuse all sidelights will be out. In case you need to find those fuses in the future have a look at the other pillar.

Looks like you will have to trace the wiring, but could be a CANBUS fault.

Thanks...
So it’s sorted!!
There are no sidelight fuses on my vehicle.
The Canbus control unit is split into two and automatically resets when it finds no problem
I found one number plate bulb had gone.
Replaced and the system reset and removed dash icon?
happy days.. everyones a school day!

thanks for the support

We had the same warning light on our dash, 2010
Fiat based Burstner, for the last two months of our Spanish Winter Sojourn.
Cursory check of all the lights seem to show nothing out of the ordinary so suspecting something more 'technical' decided to leave well alone until we got home.

Working slowly through the "to-do" list, decided yesterday to have a look. Within a few minutes discovered that one of the two number plate light bulbs wasn't working.
Two Philip's stainless screws later and the 'festoon' bulb was revealed to be almost black...

Had a ratch through all my bulb boxes to no avail so went to Ebay and found these...

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-...0001&campid=5338547443&icep_item=143541337914

How on earth can anyone produce, sell & ship these at less than 20p each and each make money?

Long delivery time due to Easter but ordered them anyhow.
Just clicked the button and had a flash of inspiration. We have a 2002 Vauxhall Agila that hasn't been on the road for three years stood in one of the barns. Quick look revealed that the courtesy light bulb was identical. Quickly fit the bulb and warning light went out after about 4 seconds.
Problem solved!!
What's next.....

Yes, loads, but, ...
(a) I was not aware that our MH had any 'festoon' type bulbs
(b) the two or three times I checked the bulbs on the MH, I failed to notice that it was one, of the two, bulbs used to illuminate the number plate that had failed. (y)

Ensure the replacement Bulb matches the Wattage exactly..
If not the Canbus system will still show an error.
No need to ask me how I know
