Hello I have a shurflo Trail king 7 in my moterhome and the wires have broke in pump so going to get new one tomorrow
There no label on my old one so not sure if it 20or 30 psi the one in the shop is 30 psi
Will this be a problem if it’s not same psi
?
I am running a trauma combi 6e

thanks

Generally it is the water heater that determines the maximum pump pressure you can use. Truma heaters are usually quite good at taking pressure, so I would go for the higher one. A quick check shows the Truma Combi 6E can take pump operating pressures to 2.8 bar which is about 40psi.

Ok thanks so 30psi be ok then
Cheers

I'm at Lincoln Show at the moment and my Shueflo pump has just failed, a local caravan dealer has a 30psi in stock so checked the with Shureflo who say only use 20psi if you have Truma boiler/heater,

Arrrr
Now what to do ?

Ignore them. Truma have much better pressure handling capacity than other European manufacturers, who typically target limp submersible pumps. You need to go to US manufacturers to get higher pressure capability (provided you can stomach the 30 year old technology!)

Truma stuff is generally rated for 2.8 bar (40psi). But always check the specific heater you have installed.

Ok so 30psi will be fine as 10 psi below what they say max

From the manual
Max 2.8 bar
So be ok

I had a 30 psi fitted in my Frankia Mh trauma system and hot pipes kept coming apart from fittings, I found out that putting a 20psi pump on cured the problem, so it seems that the 30psi was to much pressure for old pipes but all good now, hope your new 20psi works for you :-)
