Hi
My Shurflo pump has started pulsing which I assume means it needs a little adjustment of the pressure switch.

Of course AutoTrail have installed the pump with the adjusting screw facing down to the floor with no room to get a screwdriver in. This means dismounting the pump and possibly draining the water if it needs disconnecting.
Has anyone done this before and any tips please?

Also has anyone any insight into why the pump has gone from running smoothly for years to pulsing like this.

Thanks

The adjustment screw is a Allen key so you might be able to gain access easier, normally pulsing starts when there's a restriction of the supply to the pump have you checked the filter pre pump? if you have one if not it could be debris in the pump itself.

No sign of any leaks. The pulsing is when the tap is turned on.

No expansion vessel fitted.

I'll check the prefilter again just to make sure.

Good tip re it being Allen key, there might just be enough room to get one in but it will be tight and definitely worth a try.

When you alter the setting run the pump and move the screw a little at a time, you will here it when the pulsing stops

Check the bowl on the filter for minute crack as they are known for this and then pump pulses due to air going into bowl
We had that happen and it’s very difficult to spot but replacing the bowl worked😊

Problem resolved.
Checked the bowl and cleaned the filter but still the pump was pulsing when running.
Managed to dismount the pump and it has enough play to be able to get to the screw underneath, adjusted this and everything now works fine.
It was a Phillips head screw btw not an alien key on this one.

Thanks for the help.
