Haven't needed to shower in the van yet - Autocruise Forte - but was wondering is the hot air vent ever a problem with water leaking down inside it in any of the motorhomes/campers out there. There's no seal between the toilet frame and the circular plastic rim. It's only a 2 min job to do so if the manufacturer didn't do it......

Never had a problem with mine, although my vent has an directional cover. Shower water drains quite quickly.

I’ll be wary and get a directional vent cover as water will go down Into pipe
bit of a strange idea really

Apologies - there is a directional vent cover on it. My concern was water between the toilet frame and the retainer holding the hotair piping onto the toilet frame. I should have posted the picture below as well.

If you're concerned just put some sealant behind the cover.

Yup - kinda wondering why manufacturer hadn't done that but I think for a piece of peace of mind it's better to do - thanks

where the toilet overlaps is generally left unsealed for maintenance reasons. The overlap is about 20mm so I doubt water would syphon through there. It only gets splashed, not exposed to standing water

Put a thin bead of mastic around it then if need to remove just cut with a knife
