Hi all Boring really but still maybe helpfull collected today from lowdams new hymer shower tap complete with all fittings £103 ordered 8 days ago the old one only needed micro switch but could get inside the b----------- part no 0436026 Thanks Bernie:thumb:

you would have been much cheaper to install one of these inline with the cold feed from the tank .

I recently had to repair one of those shower mixer taps and found it quite simple to get to the "micro switch" if you can really call it that basicly just a spring metal strip that makes contact with another when the tap is turned, cant remember the exact details but from memory there was a cover on the bottom cant remember if it had a couple of screws in it or wether it clipped on but once removed the micro switch just lifted out, all it needed was the contacts cleaning with fine wet & dry and re assembly. however rather than spend twenty odd quid on a seperate pressure switch which can also be a sod to set up I have in the past replaced the original pumps with sureflow pumps (admitidly a little dearer than the switch at around £60) for several customers in the past giving better water pressure and getting rid of the problem of faulty pressure switches in any of the taps.
